Also 2nd place finishers were Dana Gingerich AA 125, Travis Harman AA 152 and Dan Riggs AA 171 on AAA side Dustin Henning AAA 119, Eric Wildason AAA were 152 runner-ups as well as Jared Dubbs AAA 189 and young Jason Hollar finishes third at 135 AAA. Good Job to All from this Page.

9-03-02 HAD ANOTHER COMPUTER MELTDOWN THIS WEEKEND! The guy at the shop said it is a power supply problem so it may be only a few days but until further notice I will be sporadic with the on line activities this week!

9-04-02 ATTENTION! The wrestling community needs your prayers. This week is the week young Justin Terhune finds out whether he'll be allowed to play contact sports this winter since his recovery from two strokes this spring. Here's a BIG thumbs UP! to You Justin all our prayers are with you!

9-12-02 Two things today. Got word over the weekend that Justin Terhune has fully recovered form his health problems and we will see him on the mats this winter! Good Luck Justin! 1-30-03 YAIAA teams took it on the chin last night as only Delone advanced with a 55-21 win over UDA. Delone will wrestler for District title this weekend at the Coral. Mathes start at 12:00. 3-03-03 Great weekend of wrestling at Wilson High saturday. YAIAA AA wrestler send five to the finals and three bring back Regional Titles. Gary Mayfeild, 103 Mike Anderson, 112 and Aric Furhman at 140. Steve Lucchessi and Johnny Hefner finish 2nd. Dana Gingerich, Ryan Bream, Sam Collins and Ryan Fant all qualified for the State Tourney. 3-18-03 Not much to update lately. Congrats to Dana Gingerich for making the the Dapper Dan All Star Team. The Dapper Dan pits the USA best vs. PA's best. Dana was beaten by C.J Schlatter of Ohio 16-6. Schlatter was a 4 time Ohio state champ.

Biglerville and Bermudian and Fairfeild will join the league in all sports starting Fall 2004. We here at the YAIAAWrestling website want to welcome those teams today. I am planning on a few new things for this season. First will be a "Wrestler of the Week/Month". With the winner getting his/hers own official YAIAA Tee Shirt. Click Here

Ton of updates coming. Jason Hollar has won OW at the Conestoga Valley tourney where as many as 5 state palcer winners were in the same weight class. Also Todd Lehman and Cody becker won titles at Gov. Mifflin and Aric Furhman and Mike Anderson and Zack Hetrick all won titles at Delone. Be patient as I get things togther today. Also I will be naming a "WRESTLER OF THE MONTH" for December. who do you think it will be?

Jason won 3 titles including Conestoga Valley and King of the Mountain. He also won the OW awards at both. There were many fine performances this past month but Jasons stood out. Congrats!

Red Lion pulls off a big win last night to tie Spring Grove and Dallastown for the top spot in Division 1. The Big Showdown will be Saturday night as Red Lion takes on Dallastown for the Divsion title. Win and they are D1 champs. Lose Then SG is. January  Results

1-30-04 OH Well! 3 out of 6 YAIAA teams isn't so bad. BIG Congrats to Dallastown and Red Lion in AAA and Eastern York in AA for winning your matches last night at the team duals. Results are posted on the January results page. January  Results

Semi finals will be at Bigs Springs HS Saturday with the AA going at 12 noon and AAA going at 2:30pm. The finals are scheduled for 6:30pm. Good Luck to all three squads let's see if one of them can bring home the gold!

2-02-04 Close but no Cigar for the YAIAA teams at the District Team duals. Eastern loses in Semi-finals to Eventaul Champion (and next season YAIAA memeber)Bermudian Springs. On the AAA side Red Lion lost to Cumberland Valley while Dallastown wons it's Semi-Final with Central Dauphin but lost in the Finals to Champion Cumberland VAlley. Scores are posted on the January results. All eustls from here will be posted in February results from this point in the season. Good show by all 6 teams this year in the Team duals tournament.

03-08-04 WOW! Congrats to Gary MAyfield of Hanover the lastest YAIAA wrestling STATE CHAMPION. He takes the Gold at AA 112. Also BIG Kudos to Mike Anderson who finished an excellent career with 2nd place match at AA 119. Also Aric Furhman of DC finished up with 5th place medal. In AAA Kyle Sprenkle finished 4th at 275. Also forgot Justin Terhune of Dallastown who finished 4th for Dallastown at 189, Great Job to all. Big Kudos to all who were there representing the YAIAA!

10-27-04 Some new coaches in the YAIAA this year. Matt Snyder will coach Northeastern. Steve Grove takes over the Reigns at Central York this year and Eric Shive will guide the Rams from Kennard Dale this winter. West York and Fairfield are still vacant positions. Also if you don't know already the Head Coaches at Biglerville and Bermudian are Coach Bob Gano and Coach Dave McCollum. Season starts November 15th, 2004 19 days away.

Also Neil Barnes, who was a PIAA state champ for Dallastown, an NCAA qualifier for Lock Haven,a JH coach at Dallastown and the current Millersville Coach is hospitalized with an acute case of Luekemia. Neil is in Hershey Medical Center so he may recieve some advance care. He is in Room 7227. Neil is a positive and determined young man who is facing the toughest battle of his life. I'm certain that he would appreciate any cards, visits or prayers from his friends in the wrestling community. A community which we all know is second to none! Please send him your best wishes and keep him and his family in your prayers. Get Well soon Neil we want to see you on the mats ASAP!

1-12-05 Three league matches are posted in January 2005 results page. Tonight will see two big D2 match-ups. Delone travels to Biglerville at the Cannerdome and over in Hanover Coach Conover will host the Top team in the division Bermudian Spring.

Other match will have West York traveling to Littlestown and also Fairfield at Eastern York, Red Lion at South Western. So get out and see your favorite YAIAA team.

Jon Hade AA 160 and Justin Terhune AAA 215 both garnered Silver medals while Nate Weaver 275 AAA and Ricky Schmeluyn, Alex Brown 152 AA all finished 3rd. Eric Albright 125 AAA finished 4th. Keith McDonald 5th at AAA 189 and Bryce Marshall 8th at AA 103. Congrtas to all the guys for a job well done. A total of 19 qualifiers from both classes.

Red Lion was dethroned as 3 time champs and Boiling Springs won the tourney.}

Dallastown finishes second at the Nazareth invitational and Red Lion finishes 7th at the tough Top Hat tournament in Williamsport.  Chris Albright wins a title and Zach Oberlander goes 4-0 on the day. New Oxford finishes 2nd this year at the Philipsburg Osceola Mountaineer tourney looking for results...anyone have New Oxford results please let me know...thanks.
